Community Engagement Institute Internships/Fellowships
Undergraduate and graduate students from any accredited college or university have the opportunity to gain in-depth experiences and applied learning through community-based projects across the Community Engagement Institute. Internships can help students meet practicum, course and/or service learning requirements. Supervision, length and time of involvement are determined through partnerships with and requirements from academic departments. Projects are applicable across a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to social work, public health, sociology, psychology, public administration, and those interested in engaging with nonprofit organizations or governments.
Undergraduate and graduate students from any accredited college or university have the opportunity to gain advanced experience through one of the centers at the Community Engagement Institute. Fellows are asked to commit up to one full year and the number of hours is determined based on negotiated deliverables and tasks. Fellows must serve at least one semester with the Community Engagement Institute prior to being eligible for a Fellowship unless approved by a Center Director.
